Women: Induces ovulation, triggering the release of an egg after follicle maturation (suitable for infertility due to ovulation disorders); provides luteal support, promoting corpus luteum formation and progesterone secretion to maintain early pregnancy (especially in assisted reproductive cycles).

Men: Stimulates testicular interstitial cells to secrete testosterone, assisting in sperm production and maturation (suitable for oligospermia and asthenospermia caused by gonadotropin deficiency); aids in the treatment of cryptorchidism, promoting testicular descent into the scrotum.

Assisted Reproduction: Acts as a “trigger,” precisely initiating ovulation and providing the optimal time for egg retrieval; after embryo transfer, it assists luteal function, improving implantation success rates.
